Prem A:
Ballymun Utd 2: Baldoyle Utd 1.
This was an exciting game of ball played between two teams who went for it from the start, Baldoyle took the lead through a mistake by the Mun defender and it fell to M Kirwan who cooly slotted home in the 55th min under the dive of D Conroy, they held this lead for 20 mins, the Mun having brought on young Downey and Fasko started to get on top, D Kane had a huge effort on goal which just flashed wide of the far post, and then in the 75min, a contender for goal of the season, Barry Kavanagh hit an unstoppable shot over the head of the Baldoyle keeper, the Mun took over and five mins later after great build up play, Barry Kavanagh placed the ball in the bottom corner of the net to give the Mun a 2-1 lead which they held onto for the remaining 15 mins. The match Official Damian Kirkpatrick had an excellent game and thanks to the home support for their encouragement of the players. Were of the mark and things will improve, P.O'Reilly and Keith Murray are back in training this week and with the return of Paul Doolan from Killester Utd and one more quality ex player to join this week , then we all look forward to next weekend.
Senior Saturday
Ballymun Utd 2: Corduff FC 2
This was a tough scrappy encounter, in the end a draw was a fair result, Corduff caused us problems in particular their centre forward who had an excellent game, again the Mun lads battled hard and fought right to the end. A superb free kick, taken by Roge Keeley, curled into the top left hand corner of the Corduff goal to give the Mun a well deserved equaliser, the same player could have made a great start to the game when he went one on one with the keeper and his delightful chip missing the goal by inches, it would have been a great way to celebrate his 21st birthday.

Div 3 Sun 31/8/08:
Brookview Utd 0: Ballymun Utd 1
The kids did brilliant, Lee Robinson hitting a screamer from 40 yards to give the lads their second win in a row away against Brookview Utd.
