Where were from...... Achievements to date
Ballymun :- A strong decent working class area in North Dublin, Ireland. 2km south from the Airport.
Ballymun United was established as an Amateur soccer club in early 1969. The club entered a team in the AthleticUnion League, Dublin where they are still competing to this day, today the club consists of three senior teams ( 2 male and 1 female) and 14 youth teams (12 male and two female). The club since its inception have had notable success down through the years, with many players going on to represent their country at junior International level.
We have had so many great characters involved in the club over the period, one of them, the late Mr Brendan Place, had the honour of "marking" the great Pele, the only Irish centre half to do so.
In the 89/90 season the club reached the Qtr-Finals and semi - finals of every major cup competition in junior football and went on an unbeaten 13 game run to narrowly miss out by two points to Portlaoise in the league-what a team. Portlaoise had finished their season four weeks previous and sat back and watched the Mun machine get closer and closer..
However in 2000/2001 season, managed by the great Noel Synnott, the club achieved what no other club has achieved in the history of soccer in this country, winning every major soccer trophy available to them in the one season, captained by the legend that is Christy McEliggott, the season capped off by a superb victory over St Kevins Boys in the Final of the FAI Junior Cup at Toka Park in front of a crowd of 4,000, David Kane hitting a hat trick in the first half, the side went on to win a cup and league double in 2001/02, this same side, managed by John Godfrey and Noel King, lost the FAI Junior Cup Final, after a replay, to Fairview Rangers in 1999, a goal scored by the great "Diego hand ball" Flynn gave the View a lucky victory, this after the referee sent off three Mun players for competing too hard.
We look forward to the day when we are back playing football in our new home in Ballymun..
The club operates the following policies:
Anti-Racism / Equal Opportunities / Anti-Discrimination / Child & Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy.

The club is a member of the Dublin Sports and Recreation Council and signed up to its inclusion protocol.

The club will help the local drugs task force and other agencies in the fight against all drugs.
